The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra launches its 2017 season

Nicholas Carter, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Conductor, has launched his 2017 season. His performances with the orchestra will include:

 

Masters series:

16 + 17 June
with Li-Wei Qin: Shostakovich cello Concerto No. 1 and Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 4 

1 + 2 December:
with Alexander Gavryluk: Rachmaninov piano concerto No. 2 and Shostakovich Symphony No. 5

 

Great Classics series:

11 February
with Simon Tedeschi: Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue and Rachmaninov Symphony No. 2

29 July
with Alina Ibragimova: Stravinksy Pulcinella Suite, Prokofiev Violin concerto No. 1, Haydn Symphony No. 94 and R. Strauss, Till Eulenspiegel 

16 September
with Jean-Efflam Bavouzet: Beethoven piano concerto No. 4, Bruckner Symphony No. 4

 

Special Events:

12 + 13 March
with Adelaide Festival Miriam Margolyes, Janacek Cunning Little Vixen Suite, Prokofiev Peter and the Wolf, Borodin Polotsvian Dances, Britten Young Person’s guide to the orchestra 

7 + 8 September
with State Theatre Company, SA, Romeo and Juliet

‘A night in Vienna’,  with Jacqueline Porter

With Daniel De Borah, Mozart Piano concerto no. 24, Schumann Symphony No. 3
